I switched this blog from Pelican’s default theme to gum, fixed an upstream column-grid bug that had been hiding the sidebar, regenerated the code highlighting with monokai, and layered a full Molokai palette over the top — without forking the theme. Here’s the recipe, plus a drop-in CSS file for anyone else running gum.
